Russians attack Kharkiv, targeting residential area, killing 2 civilians and injuring 7

Kharkiv is under Russian attack this morning, 30 April. Two strikes occurred in the city, one person was killed, and two were injured, said the city’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov. Meanwhile, the Oblast Military Administration’s early reports indicate two fatalities and seven residents who were injured.

Quote from Terekhov: „Explosions heard in Kharkiv – the city is under attack by the aggressor. Stay safe.“

Details: The Air Force reported a threat of ballistic weapons and the launch of guided bombs.

Update: Terekhov reported two airstrikes on civilian targets in the Kyivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts.

Quote: „The residential area in the Kyivskyi district was targeted once again, like yesterday. The information about casualties and destruction is being clarified. Meanwhile, the threat of further missile launches over the city remains. Stay safe.“

He said that early reports indicate that one person was killed and two more were injured in the Kholodnohirskyi district.

Oleh Syniehubov said that preliminary information indicates that two people were killed and six were injured. 

Later, Terekhov said that updated information indicates that one person was killed and seven others were injured.

Background: Russian troops launched guided missile strikes on the city of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv district on the evening of 29 April. One woman was injured.
